A set of guidelines (OCED 1980) is produced by the Organization of Economic Cooperation and development (OCED) in 1980 for the protection of personal data of an individual. Data mining potentially violates the principles of OECD which are firstly, reasons should be made clear about storing the personal data of an individual and secondly, the data cannot be used for any purpose other than stated.
